Andy Zipf

Long time friend, musician, and tour de force, Andy Zipf kicked off his latest tour Monday night in the wonderful land that is Northern Virginia at IOTA in Arlington, VA. He played with his now regulars and close friends, Pete Lim and Kevin McIntyre. Great show and some new music.

I decided to pull out the D3 and really ring it out at the high ISO's. Shooting friends seems to come so naturally. It brings a new warmth to my photos that I'm really feeling right now. All shots shot at 2500 iso except hat shot at 6400.

Hi - These shots are great - what type of lens do you use for these low-light situations to avoid blur and flash use?
